Dead Horse Communications Announces
In-House Corporate Retreat

CHICAGO (September 20, 2004) -- Dead Horse Communications today announced that senior staff will be on a corporate retreat this week. The retreat will include team-building seminars, art therapy courses and general "R&R." In an unusual move, the retreat will be held in Dead Horse's offices at Bell Tower, 6224 N. Bell.

"We felt we needed to take a break from our busy schedule of events in order to get some quality time here at home," said Andrew Huff, principal of Dead Horse. "We'll be doing some painting in the dining room and my office, and hopefully nailing down a design for the kitchen. And Cinnamon [Cooper, chief financial officer] and I haven't had much time to ourselves lately, so that's on the docket as well."

The retreat will not preclude all Dead Horse functions, however. Senior staff is still expected to attend the Rock for Kids Music Mixer on Wednesday, Sept. 22, to which Huff and Gapers Block Creative Director Nazarin Hamid submitted mix CDs for silent auction, and Friday's GB Get-Together at Danny's.

The staff of Dead Horse will also take the opportunity to work on some long-standing projects, including the redesign of me3dia.com, and a new development, code-named "T.O.D."

Dead Horse Communications offers media, public relations and copywriting services for a wide range of industries. The company is headquartered in Chicago, with satellite offices on Ursa Minor Beta. Its better-known projects include Gapers Block, a Chicago-centric news and events webzine.
